IMO LIL gun was made for the hornet for excellent accuracy with the bonus of about 200 fps higher velocity at less chamber pressure , than most other approate powders .

13.0 gr LG , Nosler 40 gr BT
10.0 gr LG , Speer 50 gr TNT

Some reduced loads that are super accurate. use small pistol primers fired from a 10" & 14 " barreld contender
4.1 gr WW 231 Hornday 55 gr sp wcn Bulk @1400 fps
4.8 gr WW 231 Hornday 55 gr sp wcn Bulk @1600 fps

I'm using 10 gr of 4198 but this is a light load for close in shooting that doesn't spoil pelts. This gives an MV of about 2000 fps. with 55 gr J-word projectiles. Accuracy is about 1.75" at 100 yards but my shots are at 100 feet or less. The rifle is a Contender carbine with a 21" bbl.

I've been using 225462 checkec with Hdy checks tumble lubed with LLA (I even get a lube star) in front of a full case of H4198 lit by CCI small pistol magnum. This load shoots to about 2 1/2" @ 100 yds out of my Ruger 7722hornet. I picked regular small pistol primers to see if the groups shrink. I also picked up a can of LilGun just for giggles.

***40 gr Hornady VMax, 12.2-12.8 gr Win 680 (discontinued), RP case, WW LR primer
normally shoots .6-.8" at 100 yds in a Ruger 77/22 stainless varmint, best group was .160" at 100 yds (only 3 shots).....sometimes it is better to be lucky than good! Target is below.
***40 gr Hornady VMax 13.0 gr Lil'Gun, RP case, WW LR primer, normally same accuracy in same rifle.
***Just started working with the 225438 and 224450 HP this year in the Ruger and a NEF, but too early to comment
