If you would do some homework you will find that there is a complete LYMAN 45 manual that has been posted here many times before.

If you want more information you will have to spell out just what you want to know.

and as you can see (as I suggested),
people are lining up to answer your questions when posted openly.
Let us know more about what you are planning to make,
maybe others will have some input and ideas to help further.

maybe this should be moved to "Casting Equipment" ???

This is what info I was looking for. The hole size of the 4 holes would help too.
I am making a metal plate for a Lyman 45 lubesizer. The plate will have a hole for a heater cartridge.

I've got mine drilled and taped for stove bolts 3/16 x 24 Thats the size the flat head bolt fits flush on the luber casting.

What is the measurement from the bolt hole to the end of the mounting area in the pic above?

The bolt pattern and drawing is accurate. The hole diameters are .250".

My bolt hole pattern starts 3/4 inch from the edge and that allowes approx. 5/32 inch clearance for the part thats vertical on the press.

The only dimension missing is from the front edge to the back first edge which is 2.250".

True, but you usually do not place a 1/4" bolt into a 1/4" hole. I was always taught to use a clearance hole which in this case would involve using a 3/16" bolt being as the hole is already in the casting.

Clearance holes for tool and die work.

Yep- never said a 1/4" bolt would fit. It will not. It's just a 1/4" hole.

Only one of mine has 1/4" holes, (that do fit a 1/4 bolt) and even that one has a 3/16 hole by the pivot arm...... The other two have all holes at 3/16". So the safe bet is 3/16 screws and t-nuts on the underside......that way they're hot-swappable.....:groner:
