So I recently broke the magic number of 100 molds. I now have 103. I have molds I do not even have a rifle or pistol for. I just bought them because I liked them and would eventualy get something to use it with. I also have the same problem with dies as I need something I can use it with. Anyone else have this problem or is it just me?

I kinda have the same problem. I got dies in a package deal that I have no pistols for. So I bought a pistol to match the dies and brass. And as far as ammo.....I have many many different boxes of ammo that I have no gun to match. Just holding on to it in case..........

Never! I just reviewed my list of group buys I am signed up for today, and gave myself a lecture about how I need to chill. 5 minutes later I was searching for results about .458 Win. Mag, and telling myself it would be O.K. if I just bought a cheap Lee mold. :veryconfu

Nah...you're not alone. I haven't hit that "100" mark, yet, but I've got several moulds for every cartridge I load and a few for calibers/cartridges that I may (or may not) eventually add to my collection.

when you run out of room to store any more, then you may have enough.:bigsmyl2:

Sincce no one else has offered....

Yes, you have a problem. To help alleviate this slight problem of yours, send me all your molds, reloading dies and casting equipment, postage paid:kidding:.

This will help me to get over the magic 100 molds in possesion, and let you start collecting again. Just think, you would get the excitement of buying your first mold again[smilie=w:.

Seriously, as long as you can afford it, I see no problem. If your kids are going hungry, then there is a problem.

forty or fifty. I only need a couple or three more.
My problem is when I return a borrowed mould. Do you return it with or without the handles?

Good morning
NEVER. They are all investments that continue to rise in value.. TMS & so far SWMBO thinks it is OK... Far better than some of my other hobbies that roll on 2 wheels.

From a practical standpoint, if the moulds don't pay you back in either economic benefits or satisfaction, then you have too many.

However, if you look at the mould and say, "It was worth the money.", then that one wasn't one too many.

If buying moulds cause you economic stress, then you might want to consider being happy with what you have, and not trying to have what might make you happy.

You have too many molds when you show up on a episode of "Horders". Until then, don't worry about it.

Right now I think I am at the too many stage, but hope folks here will help me remedy that over the next few months.
