Hi,
I have a SDB and a 550 reloader and noticed that the 550's powder measure was smoother running than the one on the SDB. I looked into this and found this article that explains it very well and which I did to my measure and smoothed things up considerable and I enjoy the reloader a lot more and don't think I gave up anything as far as safety goes. The safety is located on top of you're shoulders!

The last powder measure I purchased had this new saftey and it lasted about 2 min. until I took a crescent wrench on the Anti-Return Cam and bent it so that it no longer hangs up. I didn't even think about voiding the warrenty, because I also thought its new jerkey movement would not be good for consistancy and it's just annoying. As a plus a person could bend the cam back to where it came from and use the warrenty.
