So I pulled out my Marlin 336 in 30-30 today and dropped in a dummy round to check fit and when I ejected it.............it didn't. Inspection showed the ejector to be missing. Now I haven't shot the rifle in a couple of years but I know it ejected the last time I did. I am sure the ejector did not evaporate in the intervening time, and it ain't just broke off, it's gone, as in completely, no pieces left behind. I am stumped but no matterr I still have to obtain another. I took the ejector from my other 336 in 32 Win. Special in the meantime.

Grease worms ate it. All kidding aside it's nice to make this discovery now instead of away from home on a range or hunting trip.:coffeecom

The 336 ejector only comes out if the lever screw is removed along with the lever to allow the bolt to slide to the rear past the point where it holds the ejector in place. Someone has removed it.
