Hi,

I have made a few 45 acp bullet with some 9para brass. I think it's a more economic solution than the 40s&w brass and no need to trim them.

Just need a robust press. I have break my little Rock Chuker after a few dozen bullets :)

Ok well I am a shooter in France and I have buy the CH4D tools to do some cheap 45 acp bullets :)

I had the idea to use 9para brass because finding 40s&w brass is difficult or expensive. I cast the lead directly in the brass.
I don't really look for benchrest accuracy, just training ammo.

Welcome to Cast Bolits.

You broke your press? Here is a Sticky: Lets make a Swage press ( 1 2 3 4 5 ... Last Page)
by ANeat. Check it out. You can build your own heavy duty press that can do both swaging and reloading. Alot of good info here. Again Welcome

Oops... I was on the puter at work and the keys stick... not to mention I didn't know how to put in a link...

Also, the common BREAK item on the rockchucker press is the pin which connects the linkage to the bottom of the ram. I have found that when I replace that broken pin with a 7/16" GRADE 8 bolt (get a longer bolt than necessary, and the un-threaded section under the head is just exactly the right size for the pin, and it about 2X stronger than the pin ever could be.

Thanks for the trick about the rockchuker.
I will maybe try to build the press that there is in the sticky.
