With eye candy like that it sure gets the ole ticker going. Makes me wish I was independently wealthy so I can get all the required toys/tools for the job.

Reload3006, I am very curious about the balistic tip design you have there. I have tried many things to try and accomplish those results. I wondered if you might share some details about how you make them. Thanks.

as you can see i have had my failures too. I since have learned some more
So the good Ballistic tips were made weighing in at 63 grains I used berger J4 .800 jackets I swaged my cores so the weighed what I wanted and for the ballistic tip I used Ski hole plugs. Word of caution using hole plugs they are very soft and the ejection pin will poke a hole right through them you need to sneak up on them ... so any way I seated the cores formed my Boat tail at the same time and then partially closed the nose in my point form die inserted the plug then complete the point form operation. You can use airsoft BBs but they as you can see are pretty poor preforming option it can be done but IMO its not worth it.

Thanks! I have used the ski hole plugs but they didn't seem to maintain the swaged shape very well. They seemed to expand slightly back toward their origial shape. Do you do anything special to make sure they are alligned in the bullet before the final swaging?

partially swaging the point form but leaving a large enough hole yet to get the ski plug in. I am assuming that you have a 6s point form die? mine is an 8s that may help some too.

Yes, I have a 6s die. I will play around with them some more to see what I can come up with. I do the same, partially swage the point so I can place the tip into the bullet then put it back in to the the die to tighten it up.
