What case, caliber, bullet weight etc?

Unique has more volume per weight than Bullseye. It is a medium burn rate powder that is used for a wide variety of calibers. Overall a very good powder. I use it in 45 ACP & 9mm loads. It is a good low to midrange powder in the 44 mag. Unique used to have a bad reputation for being very dirty burning but I have noticed in the last few kegs I have bought that it is a lot cleaner burning. Hope this helps.

Unique is a very forgiving powder. It can be used in rifle, pistol and even shotgun loads. Consequently, it takes a lot to increase pressure which is a nice thing.
Bullseye is a very fast pistol powder and little amounts drastically affect pressure, which is why you do/did not use much and the case seems empty compared to Unique.

My only complaint with Unique is that it is somewhat dirty. Accuracy has always been good to excellent.

If there is a powder that is used by more reloaders and for more varying applications, than Unique, I wouldn't mind knowing what it is.

I use it for .38, .357, .45acp, and .45LC. I may also use it for .44spl when I start loading for that caliber.

full can be a good thing ! it assuredly lessens chances of double charges !! of course it's best to start as every reloading manual i ever saw stated " start small and work safely up " and unique should do you in good stead , as noted many folks love it ( ok ok some merely like it but ...lolz ) if you think the case is full with unique you should try red or blue dot , while granted there are some applications a faster powder may be better very few other powders seem to cover the spectrum as well as unique , this and the fact that it's been around since ummm oh about forever ( at least longer than most of us ) means that there is plenty of proven recipes available
