I don't know if this is the right forum in which to post this. If not, moderators please relocate if needed.
Not sure if this is old news but Tula Berdan Primers are available again here in the US. I just received a case of 5000 Tula KV762N primers that I pre-ordered from Dominic at DAG ammo. He has them is stock now. No affiliation to this business, but if you need some of these please consider supporting a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business.

Regards,
Mark

I would really like to try a few hundred of the ones for large cases. I got burned buying
10,000 of the ones for 7.62x39, not understanding that they would not work for 7.5x55
Swiss even if they fit perfectly.

If someone knows where I can buy 500 or less at any kind of a reasonable price, I'd like
to try them with my gobs of saved GP11 (7.5 Swiss) brass.

KV762N is the Nato (.217") size and correct Cup height for all .217" Berdan Pocket cases of "European Military Rifle" calibers (7.9mm, 7mm, 7.65mm, 8mm Steyr, Euro .30/06, Euro .303 Br., 7.62R Albania, Czech, etc. 7.5MAS, 7.5 Swiss, 6.5 Swede, 7.62 Nato.)

Bill,
I would sell you a few hundred, but I'm not sure if it is legal for me to ship them.

Mark

I bought 2 cases from Dominic. He has them in stock and snooze you lose
if you need them and don't leap on this opportunity.

Nothing is ever predictable in the primer market and its been a dry hole for
a long time on berdan primers. I am not going to be complacent about stocking
up a good supply for the long haul.

Lastly, Dominic is a USMC veteran and has gone out of his way to bring these
primers in. Support a vet and support your shooting program is a WIN WIN.

What is the best way to decap the Berdan primer. I have never tried it since the 80's and we made a water-hydraulic sort of gizmo,,, messy and unreliable..

A friend has told me about doing thousands "quick and easy" with a deal made up of
copper pipe and standard fittings. I should have the design file around somewhere. If I
find it, I'll post it. He drops all the brass into a bucket of water and picks up one, drops it
into the device full of water, pushes one tube into the other, primer pops out, he slides out
the tube and dumps the case into another bucket. Never have done it, just been told
about it, so this may not be clear or 100% accurate.

Thanks MTGUN, I hadn't thought about Berdan priming for a long time. That is similar to the way we tried, but our method required max pressure to extract the primers and got a spray bath to boot. Stuck with Boxers ever since..
