Just got my 1050 RL and I love it. Only messed with it for an hour so I havent unleased its full potential. I dont know if I ever will. Are the only guys that have these machines commmercial reloaders? From what I have seen the profit margin is tight on handgun ammo so one would have to make thousands and thousands and thousands to be profitable.

Sweet aren't they:-D.
Picked up a used Super a few weeks back. Just finishing a mounting plate that will allow me to turn it 90° left or right or 180°, will make it so much nicer to work on.
Don't see where some people make it sound like a big deal to switch to different calibers

Congratulations! I love mine! Its an old 1050 RL. I also have a 550, as well as a rock chucker. Each has its niche. Just added the powder checker to my 1050. Recommended. A nice 1050 gives you reason to want six cavity molds...

I took it apart to clean it and have no idea if I did it right. Didnt seem to come apart too easy with all the spring tension. The E- clips on the powder measure went flying.

I cleaned it up and put it back together. Its a nice one doesnt look used that much.

I ordered some conversions kits (40 and 223) but found that I need a large powder bar for 223. Anyone have one for sale?

I have the six cavities covered. Also have some 8(#503) and 10(#50) cavity but they are real heavy. Bunch of 4 cavity #130's. 6 cavity #50 also. I was trying to get the 6 cavity #43 mould on auction last week but $331 for it was a little high.

Time had been limited and recently have been buying them as cast from S&S out of New Jersey.

I lube them through a Star lube sizer

Tried selling the NOS star sizer I had but instead sold the used one.

Oh yeah, I love mine. They are more time consuming to change over than a 550, but it isn't hard. However, some people buy extra 550s so they don't have to change primer sizes - and that is as easy as it gets.

One tip - the tiny little rubber tube on the 1050 primer slide? VERY important to proper operation. Used 1050s sometimes evince random missed primer pickups and flipped primers. Replace the rubber bit and all is well.

Also, the Brian Enos forum has a very active 1050 section with lots of detailed info. Lots of good reading.
