2 I'm raising because the army kid is to psyc to deal w them.
2 great step kids (even when they hate me)

Some times we do not know how truly lucky we are. I have recently run into a old friend who is so down it makes me feel bad I hope I can help some.

Harter66: I have it pretty well myself I have a good family kids are grown and doing well It is sad when we see someone that we know not doing as well and then to have people in their lives that want to keep them down just is not right, I do have worries that helping could cause me untold problems I am prying this is not the case.

Love Life: Water off a ducks back, even if it is yellow, Part of this group that is good is the banter back and fourth just boolits gets boring (did I just sin?) . If we did not care we would not get angry with one another and I will thank the moderators for keeping all of us civil even when I think they have done wrong I know they are more experienced at reading the posts than I. Maybe we should send the moderators some loobe grooves for Christmas. [smilie=l:

Thankful for:

Jesus Christ, who saved me
God the Father, who sent Him and chose me!
A great wife of 36 years who loves me in spite of me
Two intelligent, hard working boys, both with Master's degrees
A wonderful and equally intelligent daughter in law (Master's degree)
A grandson in January who will challenge his parents and grandparents (both sets!)
Best friends who raised our daughter in law
A profession I love and will do as long as I am capable
A growing Church community that is supportive and loving
friends here who have put up with me since 05

That's enough for now, though there is a lot more.

Of my "click" I think I'm probably the worst off in the money sense . I'm happier than most all of them I think . I'm that guy tha has 4 flats in a week then changes the tire for the stranger on the road . I'm content here I think that makes it easier to be thankful the little things and the big ones.

I feel like I need to share a short story sort of about thanks.
I work w/ a guy that's a paster for a local church. He was having run of days going on a couple of months . I mean if the car started it was leaking water or had a flat, blown fuses, kids broke/broken down/stranded,sick inlaws/parents. You name a catagory of ill fatehe was in it. 1 day just before 1 day I said "Robert, you look like you need a big Mac and chocolate shake . Come on I'm going w/w/o you,my treat. I'll probably get ground bones,Rich. Robert the Lord only gives you as much as you can handle, and he's just showing you how much faith he has in you".
The next morning he comes in clearly in better spirits . As we scattered to get started w/the day he stops me and says "Rich I relized something during my evening prayers last night. The Lord will only give us as much as we can handle, and boy he's had some faith in me. Also that every now and then even the Paster needs a swift kick in the pants to get him back on track. Last the friend that puts you back on track might just be the most unlikely 1". I told him that wasn't a swift kick ,I was just dustin' off his back side.

I will add ,
Thanks for unlikely friends in unlikely times and places.

I give thanks for every day and what it brings. Whenever I see anyone that has trouble whatever it may be "I think but for the grace of God, there go I"

Greetings
I am thankful I have always had access to good men & women who were not afraid to speak Truth & practice the same. God indeed gives us great opportunities to be something of great value if we are only aware enough to be useful.

this Thanksgiving day I am thankful
that I have a roof over my head
that I can fix something I like to eat
that my divorce is over and only the keep up to deal with
my 3 kids that I hope to see off an on, two I see more than the one and that is some of the cleanup that has to be done
that I am smart enough in my college studies to keep moving forward
that when done and licensed I will have a job for as long as I want it
that I have the chance once I find everything to sit and cast and reload and shoot some
that I found this site although it does lighten the wallet from time to time
that I may have found someone who wants to be with me even with all the challenges that are in front of us
that I served my country instead of becoming a progressive, liberal socialist
Sorry for the political statement
for my church that has stood by me when my world went into the crapper mill
for my parents that looked after me, worried about me and gave me some good values to live by
for my pets that keep me going and going and yes for the entertainment they give me
for my brother who worries about me as I worry about him and his desire to find a ranch for me to go to when I need a time out from the world.
Happy Thanksgiving to one and all
