Does anyone make a punch setup that replaces the removable section of the ram on a Lee classic cast press? I tried to get a local guy to build me one as I don't have a lathe but he was not interested :groner:

Thanks much

BT does.

Just hang in there, I'm sure he's just busy. He'll get you set up as soon as he can.

Still having trouble with the search function on the forum. Can anyone help me find a post about BT's replacement and how much he is asking?

Well I can certainly help you. What exactly are you looking for in the new ram top? Do you want to be able to attach an auto ejector to it? You want it threaded for use of threaded base punches?

OK then I can certainly take care of you. You want an ejector too?

What you see there but painted a flat black, bottom arm of ejector pictured is .75 where the ones I make now are from .5 thick steel instead is the only difference. The RCBS style ejectors are still made with the .75 base to allow room to clamp to the ram. The lee doesn't need a clamp :)

I'm offering 10% from now till Christmas. Cost to your door would be $125 for the ejector and new threaded ram top. The 10% savings is the same as the cost of shipping in your case should you decide. Do you have the ability to turn a threaded base punch?

If you only want threaded ram top cost is $40 + S&H. Should you wish to purchase ejector later it would be additional $100. Obvioulsy I offer a better "package deal" for the two iteams when purchased together.

What thread are you using for the punches?

1/2-20 tpi = a basic 1/2" fine thread

In that case then yes I can make my own punches.
