In my Dad's garage, found this box of Linotype so whay good is it? Of course I cast boolits but never use anything but pure lead and tin. Thanks for suggestions.

it's worthless, you should send it to me for disposal. Actually it's good for making harder bullets by alloying it with pure lead. Faster rifle rounds and autoloading pistols like a harder alloy than lead with a little tin. There are some posts on alloying in this section, and some inexpensive ways to use pencils to gauge relative hardness.

Linotype has 4% tin and 12% antimony.

Here are a few ways to mix it with pure lead:
1 lb lino + 1 lb pure lead = alloy with 2% tin, 6% antimony (same as Hardball)
1 lb lino + 2 lbs pure lead = alloy with 1.33% tin, 4% antimony
1 lb lino + 3 lbs pure lead = alloy with 1% tin, 3% antimony (similar to WW with +tin)

EDIT:
Just filling in the blanks for your recipe list.

I mix mine 4-1 lead/lino, makes a great all purpose bullet alloy.

thanks guys, just knew you would come through for us dummys! Maybe I can make something about like Lyman #2 as my 45-90 shoots very well with that melt.

Here's some more (including Fred's 4 to 1):
1 lb lino + 4 lbs pure lead = alloy with 0.8% tin, 2.4% antimony
1 lb lino + 5 lbs pure lead = alloy with 0.67% tin, 2% antimony
1 lb lino + 6 lbs pure lead = alloy with 0.6% tin, 1.7% antimony
1 lb lino + 7 lbs pure lead = alloy with 0.5% tin, 1.5% antimony
