Hey everyone,

I got my 358-158-RF mold the other day, plan to know out a few hundred boolits this weekend.

I know that some here have had issues with this bevel base bullet getting lube in the bevel, while others didn't have any issues.

I recall someone mentioning they put something on the sizing die, that the base was pushed into, and it allowed for the lube to skip the bevel, like a piece of styrafoam, or what not.

Does anyone know what material works good for this?

Thanks,

MIke.

Styrofoam meat package, so they say. I've never tried it, though, as it takes but a second to wipe the lube off.

my stars don't get lube on the bases, but the meat package discs have been mentioned numerous times when this has come up.

I've used the styrofoam disc method many times and it works fine. But remember, the styrofoam discs will not function properly for a long period of time - they get mashed flat over time - so when you cut them - using an empty case as a punch - cut several and change to a new one whenever the disc you're using ceases blocking the flow of lube into the bevel.
