I wasn't going to post about this till I got it all home but I couldn't wait to share the news.... I just had 1/3 of a 55 gallon drum in virgin Linotype given to me.

Where else could I go to share news like this? Had to share it with someone!

A few years back I got three 55 gallons drums of linotype from my local scrap dealer. The most beautiful part is that the linotype was from the local anti-gun fish wrapper. Even better the cost was .19/#.

I'm sure that is what is meant in this context.

I will note that after 35 years in printing (new and more), to me it is all fish wrap. The literally billions of items I have been paid to produce are much more likely to to be in a landfill than the library of congress.

Hey, someone has to keep the forestry, wood products, information and waste management industries. humming. And it has paid well too.
