Anyone ever use a 124gr rn in a 380? If so what was the results and what powder did you use?

I treid the lyman 356-402, over 2.5 grains of Unique but it was too long for my walther PPK/S. I shot them up one at a time loading directly into the chamber. The 358-242 121 grainer is recommended by some, but I use the short 95 grain version.

I tried some 124 gr cast in my 380s but went back to my 95 gr cast , i like them better than the 124 as the 124 is seated to deep in the 380s case reducing powder capacity and buldged case side walls when correct COL was set for functioning . but they did function through my 2 , 380s

I have used the lee 120 tc (with lube groove) in my Keltec P3AT. I loaded to max oal with 2.0 of Bullseye. Function was 100% and I use it for practice but it does not quite make 700 fps. I'm debating whether to get the Ranch Dog RNFP or just get the lee RN for the .380. The Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook lists loads for 120 gr bullets in the .380.

The little lee at about 100 gr w/my alloy shoots very well in my Ruger.

Yes, it is a fantastic bullet--however the short nose is a bit difficult to remove from a lube/sizer... It is a wonderful choice in the 9mm Luger for plinking. I have loaded it in the .38 Spl with a filler---very nice, but I prefer the Lee 105 SWC better in that caliber.

I used an H&G #275 09-125-SWCBB sized 356 for a FIE Star built (was considered for Colt Pony), Colt Mustang and Colt Govenment. Worked fine over modest charges of BlueDot. Acurate and the penetration of this boolit was amazing when shot into an aged oak 4 X 4. Ate a hole all the way thru in seven shots.
