After the usual bore cleaner, brass brush's and wet & dry patch's that come out clean, I coat a tight patch or a bore brush with JB's "Bright", after just one pass through the bore, a patch comes out looking like a coal mine. I've "scrubbed" the bore, cleaned, and get clean patch's . Only to scrub with JB Bright again and again get the black patch's . [smilie=b: Anyone have any ideas what is going on ??

Take a patch, put the JB on it, run it on the outside of the barrel where itis spotless. It will turn black.
Ypu will never get a patch with JB to come out clean so don't sweat it.

stop beating your head against the wall. For some reason JB does this , turns the patch black. Here is what do - use the JB first then finish cleaning with bore cleaner and follow up with a lightly oiled patch. If the last patch comes out with any black streaks go again with bore cleaner and oily patch

The black you are seeing is the JB after it's gotten broken down.

I never used any but have used some of the lead remover patches. They get black too and I think it is steel being removed with the abrasive.
