Ladder sight on 1873 Winchester carbine

This sight is marked up to "9" on the ladder sight. That can't be 900yds, this weapon and .44 WCF cartridge chambering is clearly meant to be CQB.

A question to anyone having experience with this weapon, what distances have you been able to hit your target.

Belive it or not I think it is. I remember readinig somewhere that their sights were a set standard and used on almost all different calibers.

I will have to try some shots out to 300yds on the KD range. If it works out, I will try the 600yd mark and see what happens.
