I am leaving in a couple of weeks to go hunt coastal blacktailed deer on the Olympic Peninsula. One of the guns I will be taking with me is a Ruger Super Blackhawk in .357 Maximum. My ammo will be loaded with the HP version of the 358627, cast from a mould made by Bruce Brandt, pushed to about 1500 fps. The weather is likely to be cool and rainy, but I hear tell there are deer in them thar woods!

Yes there are but good luck finding them Gray Ghosts. That boolit should do the job.

I would have filled the lower crimp groove with lube myself but yes, that will do the job.

Looks like a good boolit. It's got that SWC rim to cut a nice entrance hole. A hollow point to mushroom for a bigger tunnel wound with the right alloy. Five bearing bands that should provide good accuracy. Also, the amount of boolit below the nose will provide good penetration on deer sized critters. Looking at that boolit almost taste like backstraps.
