Went to the range and took my 357 Blackhawk, shot 100 rounds of three loads 170gr Lyman SWC lead, 158gr LEE SWC TL, and a 125 gr LEE LRN. all were TL with LLA and shot as cast .359+or - I was using 2400 for the 125 gr LEE 16gr and 170 Lyman 12gr of WC820 and 158 LEE 13grWC820 all warm loads. All were within the small chicken head at 25yds nothing over 2.5" and the barrel was almost as clean as when I started. I was more than impressed. I had a set of Houge mono grips I had just put on which makes shooting hot loads much more bearable and pleasant. I also was uprooting small weeds off the berm which is 75 yds away( more fun than a paper chicken) Haven't taken a picture with the Mono grips yet.

How do you know it's a warm load?

You took THOSE grips off? Man, they look sharp. Real stag or imitation?

I like the stags but they hurt my middle finger when the guard smashes into it. I will put them on if I want to show off, which will be never. I did take time to go down to the berm and pick up about 20# of cast boolits so all in all a very good day.

I started wearing a leather glove with the end of the trigger finger and thumb cut off in the 1980s. If you don't you should. Bob Milek taught me this trick.
