I bought this electric lead pot back in 2002 or so from a local ad for a 220vac 60 lb lead pot along with a bunch of fishing weight molds. The guy used to make assorted fishing weights. The lead pot is on a cart with an aluminum table with the pot set into one side of it along with a contactor and a temperature control unit. I ended up selling some of the cannonball sinker molds on Ebay for about what I paid for the whole setup....gotta love those deals!! I still have a bunch of sinker molds left and of course the lead pot cart. I will add a pic later. Probably not as efficient as propane, but neat non the less.

Actually, electric heating is 100% efficient.
Every watt in is BTU's out.
Gas, while often preferred, is not as efficient.

That thing sounds like a venders cart for the pier or swap meet.
"Soup! Chili Frys! Cannon balls! Nacho's!" :kidding:
(Except for the "tail")

"How often do you add lead to that thing?"
"Oh... about every 10 years or so."

I've got a WAAGE pot...made in NJ I think??

20 or 25 pounder...after 30 yrs of propane...the jet engine noise started to get to me.

Wish I had gone electric years ago.

Looking at their online catalog I see what looks like the entire LEE lineup. I wonder if they make them for Lee?? They sure charge a LOT more to buy direct versus getting a Lee though!! I didn't take the noise factor into consideration and guess electric may have its ups afterall.
