I see on the press that ANeat made, that is generally modeled after the Walnut Hill press. He added a plate secured with 4 bolts on the front bottom links. I'm going to buy one and I was wondering if anyone familiar with the Walnut hill thinks that such a plate could be made and fitted to the Walnut Hill press?
I have a drill press and a tap set. Do you think the material too hard to drill and tap or too difficult to line up? Or any other issue I haven't thought of. I've read that the plate modification seems to smooth and stiffen things up a bit....and of course, there's the "why not" question.
