There was someone on here that tried it, but I don't remember the name.

I have been looking at the Lee Modern Minie thinking "Hey, that's a 354gr hollow base wadcutter for a .500 S&W!"

I tried a few, but so far don't have anything I found exceptional or that might cut the learning curve.
I will add this: I used a 350 gr .45 slug. The sabot was long enough it was hard to chamber in the BFR. So I trimmed the sabots to the case mouth. My concern was getting the sabot to start correctly in the throat.
I'm also futzing with 320 REALs in the BFR, and the 350 HB minies. Just want to try a few things other than the 440 Lee.

I would think the sabots designed for the Savage smokeless muzzleloader would be up to the task.
