Anybody been around one. Thinking about giving one a try. Can't seem to find out if they have a choke or not.

On page 68 of the October NRA American Rifleman Mag. was a pretty decent review of the rossi. It has a fixed modified choke. No removable, but they had good luck with std. .410 slugs. I suppose if you really felt it necessary, you could have a smith drill and tap it for screw out. ;)

I get the NRA American Hunter so I guess I missed it. I've been side tracked with an 1897 Winchester made in 1917. Opposite end of the spectrum but I liked it. This one has a 30 inch full. And I have one made in 1936 riot gun cyl. choke.

Nice. 8) I've looked at them also, but think I am leaning towards a .45 colt Lever next. I'm still trying to get my loading going on my 1881 Marlin chambered in .40-60 Marlin. Need to get access to a better press, because I cannot reform the .45-70's using my hand press without killin myself. lol

a coulpe years ago a friend bought a marlin .410 levergun. he did'nt care to much for it, and sold it latter on. but it had a fixed choke, and i think it was cyl. bore and it was 2.5" shell's only. not trying to discourage you, but i think it's a novelty gun, cause the marlin did'nt last long, and it was kinda pricey too. one would fair better with a pump or sinlge shot. but on the other hand it would be a very good Home Deffense rifle/shotgun, with the new ammo they have out for HD. if Rossi can sell them at a decent price they may be a big hit. cause everybody love a 410's!

I've pretty much decided against one. It would be just a novelty I have a friend with a Winchester 94. It has screw in chokes. Nice little gun but a 2.5 inch also.
