I have an old small Potter bottom pour pot.
Missing the cord, but I found a place that has something that will work.
I was wondering if it would be a good idea to splice somekind of controller in the line.
From the looks of the pot, to control the temp, you plug in and unplug.
If it can be done, what kind of controller would work????
I was thinking a light dimmer.

I had one of those...with the same problem as yours. Make sure the dimmer is rated for the wattage the pot will draw, though.

Finally found a cord for it.
Seems there are three different sizes of plugs. Two are common. Guess which one the Potters is????

As for a temp comtrol.
I was wondering if anyone ever tried to use a stove temp comtrol????
I have no idea what they look like, but they should be able to handle the watts going through it.
I was kind of leery of the dimmer control.
