Is there a way or formula to add something to the NRA ALOX formula bullet lube to stiffen or harden it up for pistol bullets? Can't just lube up all the bullets with it and throw them into a box as they stick together and when you pull them apart half the lube pulls off one of them. I've always arranged the bullets in cigar boxes, none touching each other but thats really time consuming.

Maybe there's a hard pistol lube that has NRA formula as one of it's ingredients.

Thanks

I mixed mine with
1/3 Camuba Red
1/3 2500
1/3 GAR NRA

Add some more bees wax and or carnuba, cut to about 35-40% alox

Carnauba wax is the best way I know to stiffen it up a bit. Remember that if you get it too stiff, it does things like crack and fail to adhere to the boolit so you are walking a fine line between gooey and too hard.

I mix it 50-50 with Carnuba Red, it will need a little heat in cool weather such as a warmup with a hair drier.

I mixed some 50/50 with straight beeswax to get rid of it a few years back and it worked just great in all pistol applications including mags. With alox at 25% it got rid of the "stickies" and still stayed in the grooves. I also bulk store my bullets.

Add 2 oz carnauba per lb 50/50. If it's then too stiff use the best 2 stroke oil you can find (Husqvrna or amsoil 100 to 1) to soften it a little. About one oz per 6 oz of lube I'd guess. That'd be a great lube.

I use this lube all the time. Just lube the boolits and set them aside on a cookie tray to "dry" for a few days. The lube hardens up and you can store them any way you like.

Hair dryer works great. Until SWMBO found it in my shop.
Mounted the lubrisizer on a piece of .25" aluminum scrap and heat with a
$8 Harbor Freight Heat gun. Even BAC needs a bit of heat in the winter.
I lube in the basement and it gets downright brisk come Dec thru April
