went to cabelas today to pick up a cooker for smelting some weights and began to look at lube/sizers. they had the lyman 4500 for 160.00 then the whole package with furnace, sizer, and a bunch of other suff for 180. i was just about to buy the whole pack then i thought to myself, "self, lefts check out the ol bargan cave." sure enough, here was a new, opened package lyman 4500 with all the parts for $100. also did a survey a few weeks ago wich gave me a $20 gift card which put me at $98 OTD!! now i just need to get some lube and a some dies and ill be all set!

gonna be a while now too since you have all those dies to buy. You can always smelt over a campfire anyway. :-)

well luckly i have a good stash of lead mini muffins so i could make some boolits for a little bit. but there will be no smelting over a fire due to the burn bans in Texas right now . but as soon as its lifted, im gonna havea fire big enough for the whole neighborhood. ive got about 16' of wooden fence that needs to get taken care of.

Holy sheep! Where do you live that taxes turn $20 off a $100 purchase into only a deuce out the door? 18% is absolutely outrageous! :shock:

taxes are 8.25% down here in texas. kinda sucks but at least no state income tax

$108.25 minus $20 should be $88.25 out the door. You cheated yourself out of $10 in bragging rights. ;)

$88.25 for a brand new in box Lyman 4500 is a good deal.

However, for 1/2 price, one could afford to clean the finger prints off. :-P

I did good at Cabelas today too:
in the bargain cave a pair of camo hunting pants orig. $80 marked down plus extra 15% off
an opened box of Berrys plated bullets for 9x18 Mak that turned out to be a full box marked down plus an exta %20 off.
Using a $25 gift card plus the $10 I had on the credit card points I only paid $18 for both. I should have bought the other two boxes of Berrys bullets! Joe
