Beautiful weather this weekend on my part of the prairie. Only problem was that I'd started a paint job on may house two weeks ago and the masking tape had to come down whether I painted or not. So I painted...and painted. Today I decided to reward myself and go to the range for some applied physics research...as soon as I pulled down the masking tape. Label says it comes off clean for up to 15 days. It lied!
Suffice it to say no range trip today either. :groner:
About 4P I decided casting boolits was almost as good as going to the range and I had a brand-spankin' new RD 359-190 mold that still had the packing oil on it. :-) I needed a few boolits to load up and work up a load. I quickly set up my outdoor casting equipment and after several dozen misshapen boolits things suddenly started happening and I was dropping some pretty good-looking boolits! I was casting too fast to do much QC so reject rate will probably be pretty high.
Next thing I knew it was getting dark and I'd run thru 10 lbs of alloy! (368 +/- boolits) No idea what I'll do with that many boolits but I feel much better now. :-)

Yep, casting is very theraputic.

Well, if it'll help you out, you can send some of them over here...[smilie=s:

We finally moved some of her cra... er, "stuff" around in the basement
so I can move the pellet bags down there and reclaim my garage
so I can pour some 44 and 38 NOE HPs.
Only used 'em one session and only made flat points.
I'm out of both. It'll feel like they're new molds, again.

Its amazing how much time you have when you turn off the TV and computer for a while. I too, find casting and reloading to be relazing and theraputic. Plus just plain enjoyable.

I really love casting and handloading both. They're pretty much a hobby in and of their self.

...............Ah yes, boolit casting therapy. With a recalcirant mould you learn grace, and when things are dopping like rain,

You obtain nirvana, peace, and goodwill towards all [smilie=l:
