Anyone ever see anything like this? I sure haven't.

I'm not advertising, or plumping for, this sale - just VERY CURIOUS!

I'm curious what the brass? plug between the bullet and roundball cavities. Was it an attempt to make the bullet a hollowpoint?

It looks to me as though the pin, when removed, allowed one to pour into the big RB mold, through to the boolit mold, and cast a RB and a boolit at the same time. Would have to separate the two. If that was not desired, then leave the brass in and just pour RB's.

Duh. A solution in search of a problem.

Or?

Definitely bubbaed, too. No way I'd pay for it.

Looks to me like a pretty neat tool for the guy with a .36 cal. revolver, a .50 cal. ML and a trapdoor Springfield.

If you want to cast balls, just leave a boolit in the cavity and you'll have to trim the sprue and the hicky from the HP tunnel.

Cast boolits?....Leave a ball in the big cavity and you have to trim the hicky from the nose....or insert the proper pin and cast HP's.

Necessity is the mother of invention. :drinks:

Dad used to say that there are some things that are sort of "a cross between a barbed wire fence and an SOB". Think this might be one of those!

I've seen Lymans with multiple cavities before, but not like that. Bubba is right, but Bubba did a decent job this time.
