The weather was just right this am, no wind and a little cool. After making boolits the last couple days, I thought I would build up my ingot supply. I smelted down 4 isolead cores (31 lbs each) and got about 96 ingots and 40 "cake" wedges. Since they fit easily in my casting pot, I am good to go for awhile. I hope the pictures work out.

I got the cast iron pan from a yard sale, just got lucky. The cores I get from Nuclear Medicine at a hospital. Check your local hospital, see if you can get some. I also get plenty of 2 lb containers that fit right into my Lee 20lb pot.

They get rid of their lead shielding? I thought that stuff was a durable good to them.

I think there's a set number of times they can transport nuclear medicinal items in one. I can't be quoted on that, as I've yet to catch up to the nuclear medicine department at any of the hospitals I've contracted at.

Maybe in a metro area, but not out here in the sticks, lol.
Guess the freight is too much to return them.

Nice thing about those cores is there is dang near 100% usable alloy there- very little waste.
