I just got back from the range and really love these sights. My experience with peep sights has been with small bore NRA and international match shooting. I always thought the aperature would bee too small and needed a ring at the front in a globe to work and so not for hunting, till now. The hole at the back is fine and the post in front is easier to bring into focus than I dreamed it would be. This is so much easier than a notch, it amazes me.

I got the sights zeroed close enough with jacketed that I'm confident it'll hit where I point it. Now to get the copper out and get to the Ranchdogs.

Midway has them on sale for $9 off right now, if I hadn't just put a scope on mine I'd be getting one, nice looking sight.

I just put a 5-D on my Browning 1885 .45-70 and is that ever a nice woods walking combo.

I have them on my .44 mag and .45-70 Marlins. They are good sights at a good price. And do their job well.

Unfortunately Lyman stupidly stopped making their excellent 66LA sights out of steel and their Aluminum version of the same sight is twice the price of a Williams with no real reason for the cost difference.

Williams sights are good value.

I have FP's on a Win 94 and Rossi 92 with target knobs on the elevation for shooting out to 200 yds with .38' and .357's. Settings are very repeatable and I have the Merit adjustable aperture which is great for sharpening sights up for my old eyes. Great sight!

All my levers have them , except the 45-70 which has a scope.
They work very well and are cheap enough a guy can afford one for each gun.
When I buy a Marlin the first thing I do is order a Williams receiver sight for it.

I've had a FP on a 444 for decades of hard bush hunting and flawless performance.
