I read the description but I was wondering what all can be done with the 105 dies? Can you build bullets using cases as jackets or will they only work with half jackets?

Half jackets only, as the nose is formed in the base punch, and the transition can't take the pressure.

You can also use them for reshaping cast and lubed lead bullets.

The 105 die is one die, sort of like a core seating die in the 101 set. The difference is the the bullet is made upside down and the punch forms the nose of the bullet.

You could make a bullet using a case for a jacket, but you'd have to trim it first, since the punch would blow out trying to form the jacket.

C-H makes two kinds of 105 dies. One uses a half jacket, and the other attaches a zinc washer to the base of the bullet, instead of a jacket.

Hope this helps.

So I could trim 45acp brass short or use 45GAP brass and use the case as a half jacket to build a lead nose bullet?

Go to the swaging section. All your questions will be answered and you will get some new ideas. I don't think you will get 45 GAP brass into the die. 40 smith is more the right OD. For half jackets you are going to trim alot of brass. Go to the swaging section, those guys know a lot more than I do

Good luck

The CH4D-105 I have listed in the swap section can be used with or without half/jackets, acsess lead is squirted out thru the nose punch.
