Hey, guys, a couple of weeks ago we had the A/C repairman come out for some work, and he left a silver/copper alloy brazing rod, about 10 inches long by 1/8" by 1/16" thick. What would this do for/to a WW alloy? Any other alloy? How can I use this?

You need red heat to get those to melt in my experience. I have installed one AC unit. I do not think it will be useful in boolits. Maybe good to "braze" with. Bolt handles and such.

i think that is silver solder, dont know the composition

Definitely silver solder. It won't help your boolits at all, but depending on the melt temp it's really good at attaching steel parts together permanently. Ag/Cu should have a very high melt point compared to lead/tin solder, maybe as high as 1450 degrees F, but most likely 900-1150 F. Oh, you will need flux to use that silver solder.

What we use in the A/C breazing is usually 5% or 15% silver with a phosphorus and copper balance. Liquidus at 1300 degrees and fully liquid at about 1450 degrees.

I can't imagine any way to get any use of it in the bullet baking business. It does sell for about $100.00 per pound or $5.00 per stick.
