I have 3 original B&M measures and none have their hopper cover. I have a couple of covers from other items that fit OK, but only one of them looks good. Any suggestions as to what would fit nicely, are reasonably priced, and readily AVAILABLE? All hoppers are brass BTW.

Haven't tried it as mines has a cover, but take it down to your local auto parts store.
If they'll take the time to help you, see if a brass freeze plug would fit.
They come in different sizes.

Maybe a copper pipe cap.

Good ideas! Thanks much, I'll try to find some brass freeze plugs. If that fails, maybe copper pipe sweat caps.

When I got my B & M measure, the lid was missing also.
I took mine to the hardware store. The man suggested making a
lid for my powder measure out of a PVC cap.

As I remember , I had to take a Dremel and a sanding drum and take out a few thousandths of the threads in order for the cap to slide smoothly onto the top of the measure.

Works 100%. I don't remember the size of the PVC part however ? ?

Go to the local woodworker and have him turn you a snappy looking one out of wood.

I did that very thing with a Redding Powder Measure.

Try a Butler Creek flip up scope cover I love them for replacement caps.

A BIIGGG+1 on the Butler Creek scope covers, I use them on Lee hoppers and my Pact electronic powder measure hopper. Makes it easier to keep powder in and get it out!

Hmm, I must be lucky that was able to trade straight across for a B&M measure with a brass cover, original drop tube and the "micrometer" version, all in excellent condition. I simply had to ship him one of my Lyman #55s. I still have a 55 on the bench, but I haven't used it once since I got the B&M and started using it. Amazing how precise they are, even with stuff like 4350!

Hey, I can do that! I have LOTS of walnut and some cherry and curly maple scraps so I can make one of each. Lots of great idea guys, thanks.

MVA is making an exact copy. Just call them for any parts you need.
