Hi Guys,

Is anyone familiar with the RCBS 50-515-FN Mould? I understand it is a special order item. I was wondering if it would be suitable for use with a Remington 700 ML? The rifle is a .50 cal muzzle loader. I can't seem to find a pic of this mould to see if it will work or not. Any input would be appreciated!:-D

i don't believe that you could/should try to force a .515" bullet down that barrel, don't think it would fit.

What I think you will find is that when its sized down to the .500 to .504" to load easily in most ML barrels the lube grooves will be nearly closed. I do size down some boolits from about .510/.511 for ML but these have much larger grooves to start with. The RCBS starts out with minimal groove width. It seems barely adiquite for lube capacity at full diameter. Can be done but lube capacity may be a problem. Also for good results in uniformity they will have to be sized nose first in at least two steps.

Thanks guys. More trouble than it is worth for so-so performance.
