I have an old junkyard I am thinking about hitting the owner up about pulling the lead wheel weights.

What is the best way to pull them? Should I get one of those special pliers, where?

A hammer , a screw driver, vice grips. Apply as necessary , move on to next victim.

If you are going to be doing any job repetitively, the purpose designed tool is worth having.

WW pliers will be so much faster (and usually easier) removing WW than anything else, that it is not funny. As long as you can get enough WW to pay for the tool, tat is the way I would go.

I agree the WW pliers are the way to go. I got a used pair for $20 one day. At first that sounds kind of expensive, but they came packaged in the middle of a free 5-gallon bucket of mostly lead WWs. :)

I had picked up buckets from several sources that day, so couldn't tell exactly which place sold me the pliers.

Next trip to the junk yard the pliers are going to go with me.

Opps! I posted an Ebay link, had to remove it. Check there, lots of them cheap.
