Blaster62 uses them. I've got a sample of his .45-70 bullet with the base Guard on it.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Fred,,,,Befor I get into any financial commitment I was hoping others would have some information to share on this systems ability to scrape the bore with each shot and limit lead build up.

Any other Takers ????

Here is his website: http://www.alcoswaging.com/default.html

He just started the website up, but I've seen his equipment and it's first rate. You can PM him here on this forum and he'll get back to you.

Hope this helps.

I've been using them with my .44-40 bullets. Had a bunch of 210 grain SWC's in .429 and ran them into my .430 base guard dies and coated them in LLA. They worked great out of my 1866 Yellowboy carbine.

I have been shooting them for a while, in 41,44,45,458 and 50 calibers. they work great but do not push them, I am working with them in the 50GI from 200gr up to 350gr and they are accurate and expand @ the speeds the GI can push them.

WOW really nice picture 475 AR.

I have wondered why other manufactures havent copied Corbins design,,,it uses less material than Gas Checks,,,
but does require a more specific material thickness to be effective. I think !

They need to be about .30 to work good.

Well they are cylinder shape, made of metal with a hole in it and a slot:bigsmyl2:

Here are the pics, I have a couple types the first is for the .500 in a walnut hill press.
