View Full Version : 414 Super Mag Marlin getting Closer

Greetings
The 336A Marlin (actually a rusted bore Glenfield) is in the mail to Jes Reboring. He will do his caliber .405 (.411 groove) and leave it unchambered. Should be back in Illinois about the end of November. My shooting pard up there is doing the mail work for me & thanks Wiljen for the initial calls to JES. I recon it is time to be looking into a 414 SM chamber reamer to complete this rifle & a couple other items that will end up 414 SMīs.

Sounds like it will be a great woods walking gun. There is something very special about having "the gun" in "the caliber" that you want.

Iwould like something like that myself. I'm a big DW fan and I think you've made an excellent choice. The 414 SM is gonna be great in a rifle. Please keep us posted when you get it home.

When we get back up north next year about June I will keep the info flowing. I hope to have it chambered before July to have much of the shooting months open for load testing and hunting.
