I just picked up a contender with a 14" barrel. It has a brake on it. Does anyone know if the brade is threaded on of made on the barrel?

It's on there in a manner in which the atf considers permanent if it's 16" oal.

It says super 14 on the barrel

It is a pistol, so the barrel has to be 16" or less. Mine is screwed on.

OK
I was wondering. I just got the gun and noticed what looks like rust at the seam. I was wanting to clean it up.
Going shooting today.
I didnt know if it was screw on and could be changed to different aftermarket styles of brakes.

soak it in kroil. most are threaded. a machined brake will have no seam.
