Thought I would try tumble lubing some 310gr FN GC boolits for my AR.
I had been pan lubing using a mixture of bee's wax and graphite grease.

As I had been using Alox on .38spl. boolits I thought tumbling the .459's would
be a lot easier than pan cutting them..

I got a chance to fire some of them last Thursday, and boy was I disappointed.
My groups opened up to 6" from 2". I'm using the R.C.B.S. FN GC with Gator GC.

Oh Oh, problem. Now I'm stuck, 200 boolits with the wrong lube on them.
I found that standing the boolits in a pan of GOOF OFF for 20 min. did the trick.

Next time I decide to try a different lube I'll try a smaller batch.

You can try pan lubing right over the alox Or a rag with paint thinner takes it right off thats what I use the wipe the noses off after loading gasoline would probably work too

Thanks, Jonas
I thought about that, but didn't want to do the whole thing over again if they didn't shoot well.

:holysheepIt was a mess cleaning them off, but sure better than re-casting them.
