I have an older Lyman Mag 20 which I replaced the shut off plunger with a new one and a new flow ajustment screw. The new shut off is a little longer which is good because the old one was a little short. Problem is that the longer shut off has taken all the flow adjustment from the length of the flow screw. Before I start grinding the rod has anyone been here before me just in case I'm on the wrong track?

Thanks

GP, Looks just like mine used to look, (clearance on lever to adjusting scew knob). The new plunger is a little longer so now I have no clearance between the lever and the adjusting screw as in your pictue. I ordered a new flow adjusting screw also but it is still not long enough. I think I'll email Lyman and see what they have to say.

Thanks

I received a reply to my email from Lyman this morning. Here it is.

When the spout was redesigned we went to a longer rod. We don't have a limit
screw that is longer. It is a 10/32" thread if you find one from a local
hardware store.

I quess I'll see what I can find or make.
