I would really like to find a 358101 mold, but this will do in a pinch:

I punched out the sprue plate stop, machined a top mold surface down one band, buzzed it on a surface grinder, and the results are looking good. Not quite 75 grains, but who's to complain.

I believe they did a GB on a really small WC mould with the idea you could stack them.

Looks good! Those Light weight WC boolits are the bee's knees for teaching young shooters to shoot a "reaL" gun. My daughter learned to shoot her 38 J frame using just such loads.

I have been planning to do that to a junk mold, so many projects so little time!

Many years ago when I was a range officer for a local sport shop that had bullseye leagues,Dick Lee was shooting with us and we got to talking about lite wc bullets for 38/357's.I said that the only mold that was available was a 148gr wc (that I knew of).The next week he brought me a 116grwc mold that he was experimenting with and said I could keep it and see how it worked. If it didn't then I could just throw it away.I still have it mainly because it was given to me by Dick Lee himself and I far as I know,it's a one of a kind .One other shooter that I reloaded for loved them because they shot good from his gun and he had a wrist problem and the light recoil and bullet weight suited him

We have a group buy going on that, it is a little lighter, 100Gr.

Here the next generation based on a RCBS 148 gr wadcutter mold. The machined down the top surface leaving just a little of the lube band to result in small bevel. The result is a bullet that weighs 81 grains. Close enough to the Lyman 363101 to call it good enough.

The old Ideal 360302, later numbered 358302 would do it for you. Mine is the older version and works well in 38 S&W or sized down slightly in 38 Special.
