Can anyone here that have RCBS 30 caliber molds tell me what size you are getting using WW alloy? I will be sizing to .309". I noticed on some RCBS mold cases it states use a 308 sizer. I was just wondering if the mold will drop large enough to size to .309.

I have an RCBS 30-180-SP that drops WW boolits at .310". I have no idea what other RCBS molds drop at.

As to the diameter to size to- slug your barrel and then decide. Don't just take the mold makers recommendation.

I've got 2 RCBS 165 Sil. molds, both drop .3085 /.309 on the bands. If your drops .309 and you haven't bought a H&I die, I'ld suggest you get a .310 die.
If you can, slug your weapons throat and try to size to that. If your mold dosn't drop bullets to that size or larger so you can size down, gust go with what you have. Maybe consider trying LLA cut with MS, or the 40/40/10 mix that is covered in the " bullet lube" section

It needs to be pointed out that alloy will vary the as cast diameter, one persons WW could well cast a different diameter than someone elses WW and a different alloy most assuredly will.
