Many won't respond because they don't track moulds by product #s as they don't know the mould by the # (same problem with inquiries about Lee moulds by product #). They probably would respond if you gave the mould description such as with Lyman moulds of 358156, Lee's of TL358-158-SWC or RCBS of 35-158-K. In SAECO's case the #353 would be described as 358-180-FN. That lets us 'visualise" the bullet and recall anything pertinant to your question. A #353 just does not stimulate the imagination or memory..........

The Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook, 4th edition, has loading data for the GC'd version of that bullet; the 359-180-FNGC. However, it is in 357 magnum cases. If you want to use .38 cases (you might get lots of responses as to why not to use them) then I suggest taking the starting load and reduce it by 10% and then work up to the max listed loads - 10%. Remember to well mark the boxes of such as "magnum level loads; not for use in .38 SPLs".

Personally I'd get .357 magnum cases for magnum level loads. I used to use such in .38 cases but .357 mag brass is too readily available these days.

Oops!! My bad. Forgot to mention the boolit weight.
I asked about .38 cases only because when loaded in .357 cases, they won't feed through the rifle.
Not sure I want to tackle the task of trying to modify the carrier.
That may be beond my limited skills.
Thanks for the response Larry.

I shoot 185 gr. GC bullets through my .357 Marlins on a regular basis, using .357 Magnum brass. I just ignore the crimping groove on the bullets and seat to 1.590", but I worked up my load with that seating depth. They feed through my rifles just fine, and are very accurate when seated over Win. 296/H-110 or Hodgdon's Lil'Gun. With Lil'Gun, I'm getting 1,710 fps average, and with 296/H-110 about 150 fps less.

Hope this helps.
