View Full Version : URL Address...
Another computer question...I have a website saved as a favorite that takes me to a Marlin talk forum. When I click on it, I end up at a completely different site all together. So I copy and pasted the Marlin address in the address window and hit enter and I still go to the wrong site!!!
Is this some sort of virus or a server someplace acting crazy? I can't get to my Marlin site now...BCB

What is the name of the forum as you remember it, not as the URL address?
These two came up OK:
http://www.marlinowners.com/board/viewforum.php?f=8&sid=ddef8c8855c1ed4c329166cc4b52e337

The marlintalk site has been gone for a while... marlin's homepage is www.marlinfirearms.com
Scrounger,
When I click on the marlinowners URL you listed, I go to mirasearch website!
My URL address for the talk forum is
http://www.marlinowners.com/board/index.php
Skrenos,
When you say "for a while" how long do you mean? I was just there yesterday.
Thanks...BCB

It appears to be back up. I just got a message about a reply I made and it opened when I clicked the link.

I highly recommend going here:
http://www.spybot.info/en/mirrors/index.html
download spybot and update it and run it on your computer.

I mean, it's been gone for 2 years. I am referring to 'marlintalk' which was hosted by marlinfirearms.

When sites go down, sleazos usually buy their domain names.
Gunload Master,
I go to that spybot website you listed and there are bunches of download sites! Which do I use and what is a mirror? And can these be easily removed if they interfere with information I must receive from my workplace? That is what always scares me. Thanks...BCB
