A post on another thread prompted me to try some cast in my CZ 82. For those who have never seen one the CZ is a strange duck. This is a 9mm Mak 12 shot pistol that looks like a Walther PP mated to the bottom half of a High Power. The barrel is polygon rifled and looks like a smooth bore. The gun comes in a holster that looks like a back pack for a stunted jack rabbit and mine was in a bilious green camo that I wouldn't wear to a gay bar.
The question was will the pologon rifling hold a cast bullet, so I cast up 10 rounds from lino and loade them up in the Mak cases. Now this isnt any quality test, but two 5 round groups at 20 yards went in under 4" and i didn't get any leading so this may be a viable option. I am going to try some from w/w tonight and see how they do.
