I emptied the brass bucket at my range (I got there first this week) and there are a bunch of 22LR cases mixed in. I haven't yet sorted the brass, so I'm not ready to offer any for sale/trade/PIF/etc.

Do you guys that swage 22LR cases into jackets have an almost endless supply of jacket material? I'm trying to get an idea of what I should do - should I sort them into their own bucket or toss them in the scrap brass bin.

Scrap prices are down here to $1.50 from $1.60. Scrappers are visiting gun ranges and picking up all the brass, including rim fire. According to my calculations it takes 412 22mag rf cases to make 1 pound. Go figger. Ervin

I'm thinking ppl here would want them.. I had someone here send me a large flat rate box and had me send a $25 donation to the forum..

Ok Thanks. I just sorted the brass this evening (someone went to town with a 9mm - I'll use that). I'll box up the 22LR jackets and post when they are ready to go. I'll try to sift out as much of the dirt and crud as I can.

I have a local shooter who doesn't like to leave a mess.. he practices with his glock using a 22 lr upper (cheaper than 9mm) and gives me a 1 pound powder can of spent CCI 22's once every couple of months.. and I still have that flat rate box... ;)
