I haven't done anything to this one except give it a trigger job. I got a great deal on it.

Veerryy nice. I don't have a single action at the moment and I don't have a 44 special. I would settle for one just like yours. Congradulations.

I always have to have at least one single action. I am real happy with this one I'll keep it forever.

AZ Rick: I just happen to have one of those too! It's the companion for my 5" SBH Bisley. I think it balances better than the bigger gun.

They done good on that one. SASS's loss is our gain. And all of these Skeeter Skelton .44's on .357 frames are great guns !!!

For those that don't know, SASS ordered 500 of these thru Lipseys and wanted a special run of serial numbers. Ruger didn't get the numbers the way SASS wanted, so SASS rejected the order and stuck Lipseys with the guns.

Lipseys sold them all in 2 days! and went back to Ruger for another run of One Thousand. They sold in 3 days! SASS never got any!

The SBH has had the barrel shortened to 5" and a Weigand Front Sight with removable blade, and a Bowen rear sight. The finish is bead blast re-blue. I will eventually do the BH Bisley with the Weigand FS and Bowen Rear and bead blast and refin like the big one. They both fit into the same Mernickle hoster perfectly. Both have crescent ejectors lighter springs and freespin pawls, and have been internally deburred by me. The big one will have a full length Ejector Housing as soon as I get around to putting it on. It just doesn't look right with the short hsng. Ruger makes a longer one that you just cut to length and drill and ctb a new screw hole in.

These guns spend alot of time in front of the TV with me at night, the more you handle them the better you like them. They just have a real good feel to them. I suggest everyone buy one immediately! They are that good!

If I was only allowed to have one handgun for the rest of my life the 4 5/8 bisley I have would be it.
