All, With Buckshot's encouragement & assistance (aiding & abetting?)*, there will soon be photos in this space. Please understand that these are only a small sample: I edited my pix down to 46. My wife took over 300 photos and hasn't yet separated the wheat from the chaff.
*I haven't yet mastered uploading photos from, say, Photobucket. None of that stuff is intuitive or especially straightforward, or at least not for me.

So did you do any shooting or just pics and looking around? I'd like to do either or BOTH!

AKMike, Odd to say, but no, no shooting and no fishing. The funny thing was that there are so many lakes & streams in NZ (south island), yet very few people taking advantage of it...and this was at the peak of the summer holiday. Oh well, I coped, but needed an extra dose of beer to get over it!

All, My daughter??? That's my wife! Here are the captions, in order of course:
Wind-eroded rock (red stuff is lichen growth), Kangaroo Is., AU
Enroute to Milford Sound, NZ (spectacular scenery)
Terry (wife, possibly "daughter") in Sydney (near Opera House)
Bishop's Mitre @ Milford Sound, NZ. Peak is 2,283m high.
Beach scene, Kangaroo Is., AU
Terry (wife? daughter?) on Fox Glacier, NZ. I was doing my best not to slide down the glacier on my butt!
Tram in Christchurch, NZ near St. Paul's Cathedral.
Opera House in Sydney: Most impressive! The tour is worth taking.
The Kingston Flyer, a NZ-built (1927) 4-6-2 (Pacific type) on the turntable in Kingston, NZ (I live in Kingston, N.Y.)
Street in Adelaide, AU, 1/31/06. New Year's Eve street celebration was literally right outside our hotel (Victoria Sq.).
Street scene in downtown Sydney
Chinese Garden in downtown Sydney (near Darling Harbor). A peaceful diversion from the din of the city & harbor.
P.S. There were indeed lots of people around, at least in the cities, but with a bit of patience, I was able to change my camera position so as to avoid them.
P.P.S. Sorry Carpetman, no sheep pics on my camera. On the other hand, Terry has a close-up you'd like. Oops, what was I thinking, it was a sheep's face?!
