Anybody know what size drill rod I need to make some decapping pins for a .30-caliber Redding die? I thought I had some spares and trashed the one that shattered. I'd rather not spring the collet guessing…
Thanks,
Richard

See if a 1/16" drill bit will fit...if so break of the shank and use it--you might need to taper the end a bit--just ppace in a drill and spin and use some fine sandpaper to do so...
I'm coming up with .063, so Wally has a good idea.

That's a Number 52 drill. (http://www.carbidedepot.com/formulas-drillsize.htm)

I got .072 on an RCBS I installed last night.
So there is a tiny difference between the two manufacturers.
Always wondered. Well, for a week or so now....
PS: That is in a Lyman die set.
